Johnny lied to that girl he met back in the diner. He wasn't headed for 'Jersey, he was headed for home, Albuquerque New Mexico. Maybe he didn't lie to her... Then again, he did tell her he was headed the other way when in fact, he was going towards the same direction, that was if they were taking the same route. Then again, he had to change directions. Damn it.
You'll never see her again.
Smoking out the window, Johnny fumbled with the radio. He passed an old Cash song, "Tennessee Stud". Provided who he was, he was almost tempted to stop right there, but he wanted something else. Johnny wanted something to reflect the purple haze in the sky above him as the sun came shining through. He continued searching until he found something he hadn't heard in years, "Shattered Dreams.".
"Good song.", Johnny shrugged. "What the hell was the name of that band?".
... Johnny Hates Jazz. Shit.
... Someone was following him, someone who he could have sworn he was also following.

Veruca stepped out of the bathroom, all dressed up. She was brushing her hair when she walked in front a the mirror in the bedroom and tied the red satin ribbon around her head, like a headband. Now that she knows what the ribbon could do, there was no way in hell she would leave the room without it. It saved her once.
"Isn't it too early for halloween?"
She heard the voice from behind her. Through the mirror Veruca saw it was Tristan, his hair all messed up, he was still on the bed. He probably just woke up.
"Huh?" Veruca asked, as she struggled to tie the ribbon.
Tristan closed his eyes and replied, "Snow White?"
Veruca looked back at her reflection and got what Tristan ws trying to imply. She had pale white skin and long dark brown hair. The red satin ribbon head band on her head made her look ... like ... well ... Snow White. She rolled her eyes and started for the door.
"I'll make sure to tell the other dwarfs you're awake, DOPEY." Veruca bit back, getting out of their motel room.

Veronica stood outside her room for a smoke. There wasn't a lot to do but sleep, shower, eat, and wait for Kurt to swing by to pick them up.
Looking over, she saw Veruca coming out of her room. Taking a drag, Veronica dropped herself against the stucco walls and asked, "Nice weather we're having. Warmer, huh?".

She nodded, then looked at the sky outside.
"I actually like it." Veruca said, her eyes scanning the stores in front of the motel they're staying. "Grayling's always cold and gloomy. It's also cloudy so you could barely see the sun. Unlike here."
She started towards Veronica.
"Are you Ok?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. Thank you.", Veronica replied as she brought the cigarette close to her lips for another drag. "God, I wish my mind would just stop racing. I don't think I've had a moment to stop thinking ever since this whole event began. But then again, I figure, my thinking has only just begun.".
"I'm glad to see some people awake.", Kurt said as he approached the girls. "Have you guys gotten enough sleep?".
"I'll live.", Veronica shrugged. "So, what's the plan today?".
"Well.", Kurt began as he lit a cigarette. "I'll take you to Analora to fill you in on what you guys need to know and from there, we can figure out what to do. I don't think any of you'll be able to get back to your old lives. I'm sorry.".

Ana paced back and forth through her study. Kurt had called her earlier to inform he he was coming over today. He hadn't told her why, but she figured it would be important. She considered herself lucky that she had actually gone to the trouble of cleaning her house the day before, erasing bust and cob webs from her massive collection of pirate regalia and making the home look generally welcoming.
She was nervous. From the way Kurt had sounded on the phone she knew something was up and if she had to guess, it would be about the items. Ana played with her silver necklace as she paced, fidgeting with the cool metal. She normally didn't expose her immortality to every passerby, but she had let Kurt know, and she trusted his judgment. He wasn't the type to just go around and blab her secrets to just anyone. No they would have had to be carriers to get that sort of information out of him.

He sat quietly, alone, inside their motel room. It's been awhile since Veruca left and he's enjoying the silence. He climbed out of bed, looked around, and yawned. He dragged himself towards the bathroom and washed his face.
Tristan took a good look at himself at the mirror above the bathroom sink. He didn't like what he saw. Looking back at him was the same blue gray eyes his father possess. The same man he hated for the longest time.
Towel drying his face, he stormed back into the bedroom, sat at the foot of the bed. He raked his brownish blond hair with his fingers. Then he saw his phone and remembered something he's been meaning to do since yesterday. He picked up his phone, scrolled through his phone and called a number.
Patiently he waited, until an elderly voice answered on the other line with a "Hello."
"Nan' Lucia..." Tristan started to say, his face starting to light up. "It's me. Tristan."
Then elderly woman sobbed on the other end of the line. Tristan meanwhile was trying his best not to get too emotional.
"I'm here in Andreas de Mesa." He revealed. "I wanna see you."

For Emma, it was nice wearing something different for a change. She had been stuck wearing the same clothes for the better part of the past week that she had forgotten what it was like to wear something new for once.
She had sneaked out not long after Kurt dropped them off, ran to the nearest Wal-Mart, and bought a fresh set of clothes for herself.
Stepping outside the motel room, Emma slipped on a pair of shades as she approached Veruca, Veronica, and Kurt. "Converging, I take it?".
"Good morning.", Veronica smiled at her sister as she reached for her hand. "You're wearing something new. Why didn't you get me anything?".
"They didn't have your size.", Emma replied as she reached for Veronica's cigarette and took a drag herself. "So are we all here?".
"All but one.", Kurt said as he walked away and flicked his cigarette off his hands. Knocking on Tristan's door, Kurt said, "We're running late, kid. And I don't like keeping Analora waiting.".

The door swung open and revealed Tristan, all ready.
"Sorry to keep you waiting." He smiled sheepishly to the group. "What did I miss?"
His eyes immediately met Veruca's eyes.
"I'll tell you everything, but right now we have to get moving." Veruca told Tristan.
Tristan stood next to Veruca, handing her her jacket.

Kurt watched as Tristan walked past him. The kid wasn't wasting time and man, he had to admire that. Approaching his car, his actual car, Kurt used a remote to open the doors as he slipped into the driver's seat and waited for the rest to get it.
Emma handed Veronica the cigarette, and in turn, Veronica took a drag off Emma's lips, before Emma took it back for a final drag and ditching it on the road.
"Ready?", Emma asked.
"Yeah.", Veronica replied. "I think I am.".
Emma slipped into the passengers seat up front with Kurt as Veronica took the far side of the car.

Veruca, again, sat between Veronica and Tristan at the back. Something's up with Tristan. Veruca could sense it but she couldnt exactly put her finger on it. It's like he suddenly seemed so ... energized. Although he is still soft spoken and cordial, like a prince that he is, Veruca noticed a light in his eyes.
"Are you on drugs?" She asked him discreetly, careful not to let the others hear the question.
Tristan was looking outside the cab's window, his mind running, wondering how he would be able to meet up with Nan' Lucia, his old nanny, without his companions noticing.
He shot Veruca a confused look when she asked the question. He's starting to get used to her annoying and out of this world remarks and questions.
"Possibly." Tristan replied with a serious tone, joking ofcourse, as he returned to look at the view outside the window.

Veronica couldn't help but overhear them. The cab was so small, she was pretty sure Emma and Kurt did too. Veronica reached her hand out to Tristan, not sure if he was joking or not, and said, "You better take care of yourself.".
"We're here.", Kurt said as he pulled into an old two story Victorian-style house in the older stretches of the suburbs.

Tristan suddenly had surprised and embarrassed written all over his face. Then he broke off with a chuckle, his face turned red.
"Thank you." He told everyone, controlling himself from laughing out to much. "But I'm okay. I was just kidding."
Veruca, instead of feeling offended, felt like goo at the sight of Tristan's adorable face and laugh. Oh he looked so charming. It's one of those rare instances she could actually see him laughing and happy. She wondered if the time would come when she could make him all that.
"So how would this Analore help us exactly?" Tristan inquired.

from her study, Ana could hear the slam of car doors. Had to be Kurt and the others. Ana stopped her pacing and made her way to her front door and opened it, leaning on the door frame.
She looked at Kurt, her eyes dancing from him to the people with him. "these them?" she asked just barely raising her soft voice.
