"I've come to grow pretty tired of hanging on to those damn things.", Kurt replied, shrugging. "I'm only here to trace them and make sure everything's where it should be.".
Veronica looked at Analora and asked, "Could I have a word with you?".

"unlike you, I have no choice but to hang on to this bloody thing" Ana said softly, offering kurt a smile.
Veronica had spoken. "Hmm? Oh, of course. what can I do for ye?" ana asked Veronica.

Veronica motioned over to the balcony and said, "I don't know who my father is anymore. You're telling me things about him, important things, that I never knew. All my sister and I knew was Leland Roth, the psychiatrist. And now, you're telling me these things. That he's an individual, its almost like he had a double life hidden from my sister and I. I really don't know what I'm asking and I don't know who you are, but I feel compelled to trust you. I don't know what I'm asking here, but perhaps what I need is someone to tell me that everything's going to be alright. I'm sorry.".

Ana followed veronica and closed the glass doors behind them to keep their conversation to themselves. She leaned against the metal rail and listened intently to Veronica. Ana reached over and placed her hand on Veronica's shoulder. "It's alright Miss. Many of us don't really know our parents. I can barely remember mine anymore, so at least you can remember the face he showed you. Honestly, you wouldn't have wanted into his other life. It is a dangerous life for us individuals Miss Veronica, he was protecting you and your sister from his dangerous world. Now, I cann'a tell you it's all going to be alright. You have been thrust into this world and it is filled with danger, but I will help as much as I can. Just keep yer chin up, Savvy?" she asked, offering the woman a smile.

Veronica smiled. She couldn't help it. There was something warm, comforting, and amusing about Analora. Veronica closed her eyes, opened them again, and replied, "Savvy.".
Suddenly, Veronica brought herself close to Analora and wrapped her arms around her.
Coming into the balcony, Emma asked, "Is everything alright?".

Ana cracked a smile when Veronica used her pirate lingo. She hugged veronica back, gently patting the woman's back.
Emma walked out onto the balcony, "everything is fine" Ana said with a smile. "Now, who's hungry, eh? I have a lasagna in the oven downstairs. when Kurt told me there there was gunna be company, I threw together a quick dinner" she added with another warm smile.

"That sounds great.", Emma replied.
Emma motioned close to Veronica and ran her hand through her back.
Veronica smiled at her sister and said, "I think we're going to be fine. I think I'm ready for this.".
"Are you?".
"I've been through more before.".
"When?"
"I don't know.".
"How do you know then?".
"I just do."
"Let's get moving."
Veronica nodded and followed Emma and Analora inside.

Ana smiled at the rest of the people in her study. "alright everyone. Downstairs there is a lasagna. I certainly hope ye are all hungry" she smiled. Ana lead the group down to her kitchen and formal dining room.
The long table was set for 6 people, and after a few minutes of Ana scrambling through the kitchen it also had a large bowl of salad and a basket of garlic bread along with a huge pan of lasagna. Ana sat at the head of the table and indicated for everyone to have a seat. "Please, sit. Dig in everyone" Ana said with a smile. "I figure it is more pleasant to discuss things over a good dinner" she added.

While Analora and Veronica stepped out in the balcony to talk, Tristan and Veruca stood close to each other. He had a far away look in his eyes, Veruca noted, like he was thinking of something. Everyone seemed to be deep in their thoughts, except for Veruca.
"Your father's..." She mumbled softly to Tristan, eyes gazing up at handsome face. "One of them?"
Tristan didn't say a word. He met her eyes with furrowed eyebrows. She saw something in them, a mix of anger and sadness. Then Emma joined Veronica and Analora at the balcony.
"Maybe..." Veruca started to say, her voice low enough for only Tristan to hear. "She can tell you about your fa-"
"I already know who he is." Tristan declared and was surprised he said it out loud. So he added under his breath. "I don't need anyone's help."
She bent her head down, feeling a little hurt. Atleast now she knows Tristan's got issues with his dad. Analora came back inside the library with the sisters and invited them for lasagna. They marched like soldiers down stairs and into the dining table. Tristan pulled a chair for Veruca, and then sat next to the empty chair next to her.

Kurt followed the rest as they poured into Analora's dining room. Kurt remembered coming here for the first time. God, it must've been ten years ago or so and he just couldn't believe the things she had around. The amount of things, artifacts and trinkets, she collected over the years. It was like a fuckin' museum. He was used to it now, but still. It's impressive... Three centuries worth of treasure.
Veronica left sorry for Veruca. The poor girl was trying pretty hard to reach out to Tristan, and he wasn't minding her much. Veronica walked past her in the dining room and as she took her seat, Veronica placed her hand on her shoulder and offered her a warm smile as she said, "If you ever need it, you can always talk to me.".
Emma took a seat across Veruca and Tristan. Looking at Analora, she said, "Everything looks wonderful. If I can ask, how did you acquire everything in here?".
Kurt took a seat at the far end of the table. He was trying to figure out how he could test them. Put the four through some work, something simple, to get them ahjusted.

Ana smiled, taking a sip of the ice tea in front of her. "A good question, that is" Ana smiled. "Well some of it I acquired during deep sea diving. You see I have a archeology degree from Oxford, so I end up keeping some of the things I find, though I do sell some to museums. Others have been gifts and things, but most of it has always been in my position" she said with a smile. She really hoped they would ask about her past, it was always interesting to get peoples reactions and disbelief when she told them she was 368 years old.

"That's amazing.", Emma replied. "The maintenance on some of these artifacts are amazing. It's like you got them yesterday.".
Hearing this, Kurt couldn't help but grin. If she only knew.

Ana looked over at Kurt and stiffled a laugh. "I take the care of me effects very seriously, I always have. After all, most of these things have served me quite well over the years" she said with a sly grin.

Kurt grinned at Analora. "Tell us the story about that one.", Kurt asked, pointing at the wooden plank she had.

Ana looked at the large painted ship name that hung on her wall. "Well that is quite an interesting story. But before I tell the story, does anyone but Kurt or I know anything about.....pirates?" she asked, the sly smile still on her face.
